VOLUNTEERS
If you are a
- Disabled person or carer
- Direct Payments user
- Non-disabled person
You can volunteer for E.L.I.T.E in several ways.
Peer supporters
Disabled persons and carers often like to speak to people who are in similiar circumstances and have first hand experience of their own to share.
If you are willing to share your experiences and be at the end of a phone for somebody who needs to discuss issues, we will put you in contact with people who need you.
People who are considering direct payments or are thinking of expanding the way they use their direct payment, such as employing for the first time, often like to speak to people who are already using direct payments, if you would like to share your experiences as a direct payment user, we will put you in contact with people who need you.
Activities
Do you have skills which you could share and hold activities for a wide range of disabled people and carers providing new interests and opportunities covering leisure, social or holistic activities?
We are holding weekly activities every Tuesday at the Wye Community Centre Wye Road Clayton Newcastle under Lyme are always looking for volunteer to share their talents/skills.
How do I volunteer?
Contact the E.L.I.T.E team on 01782 444576 or email info@elitestaffordshire.co.uk to discuss these opportunities and see if positions are currently available.
We will require references and a Criminal Record Bureau Check for all our volunteers as we are speaking to potentially vulnerable people. You will be asked to attend an informal interview so you can get to know us and we can get to know you and make sure we match people with the appropriate roles.
