We promote Independent Living & Social Inclusion through:-
• Leisure Opportunities / Days Out
Our Activities for All project provide and source a range of leisure opportunities for Service Users and Carers that improve self confidence and self esteem.
• Information and Advice (Direct Payments, Personal Budgets)
We provide advice and support on many aspects of self directed budgets including help with accessing this service from the local council.
• Signposting
We will signpost you in the right direction of any information or resource that ELITE cannot provide.
• Peer Support in Reviews / Assessments (if requested)
ELITE Peer Support offers friendly, informal, but confidential support to elderly, less-able, disabled people and carers in our local communities – supporting independent living and community inclusion.
Our support is provided by disabled people and carers in the local area who understand the issues at grassroots level.
• Advocacy
We provide quality advocacy services for elderly, less-able, disabled people and carers in Staffordshire. We can help to give you a voice to raise your concerns about the things that are important to you.
• Training
We work with other organisations to offer training opportunities to Service Users and Carers
• Work Experience / Volunteering
Individuals interested in a career in Social Care and Health can get first hand experience of a number of roles by securing work experience placements and volunteering positions with us.
We aim to help all Service Users and Carers including Transition (16+) across North Staffordshire.
If you would like more information about our services please telephone or email us and we will get back to you.
