Job Title: Social Care Personal Assistant

To provide one to one individual support to people with learning difficulties or disabilities. To promote independence, quality of life, hobbies and interests. You will develop a strong working relationship to encourage trust, dignity and respect. Your role will include delivering care and support within their own home or community. To assist the senior coordinators to plan, implement and evaluate support plans. To work with partner agencies to ensure that the customers are receiving the right support at the right time, – that is meaningful, dignified and what is needed.

Support Worker

Main function of the job:

To provide care and support to adults with learning disabilities in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time.

(Note: in addition to these functions employees are required to carry out duties as may reasonably be required).

Main Duties:

  • Assessing the practical and emotional needs of a client and drawing up a care plan
  • Providing emotional support by talking to clients and listening to their problems and concerns
  • Assisting with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing and shopping
  • Helping clients to budget and handle money
  • Helping clients participate in leisure activities
  • Advising clients on practical issues
  • Helping clients to apply for disability grants and other financial benefits
  • Helping clients get suitable housing
  • Making case notes and completing a log book
  • Accompanying clients in meetings with other agencies and healthcare professionals
  • Training clients in life skills
  • Collating data and statistics and undertaking administrative duties
  • Working with clients’ families to help them to support clients in the most effective way possible
  • Liaising with other support workers, social workers and relevant members of the health care profession

Main Functions of the Job:

You will be transporting adults with learning disabilities to and from a number of venues in the Staffordshire area.

Main Duties:

  • May transport up to 20 clients a day
  • Keeps accurate records of transportations and ensure all documentation is submitted to management on time
  • Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive
  • Communicates with staff and clients by phone to update them of any issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
  • Informs management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient transportations on time

Main Functions of the Job:

We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties.
The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, toilet cleaning etc)
